The third release from The Fried Okra Band boasts the raw sound of a trio concentrated around vocals, two guitars and drums. Further spice is added by the one string Diddley Bo, harmonica, mandolin, banjo-mandolin, a variety of percussion and last but not least, fat sousaphone bass lines laid down by the occasional fourth member of the band.

The bands second album,

"BLACK CHERRY" was released in the autumn of 2009. Recorded on 3 very hot summer days in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark - with a minimum of overdubs. A 4 hour (!) concert launched the album at Copenhagen Blues Festival the same year!!

Not only does it show a slightly different side of the band than the debut album. All the materail is original and It ´s also the birth of drummer Thomas Crawfurd and guitarist/harp player Thomas Foldberg as a recording/producer team.

This is Your Chance France Baby

The debut album

"This is Your Chance, France Baby"

was released in 2007 - sporting a mix of live recordings from both stage and studio. The songs are all very personal renditions of Hill Country Blues classics. It´s raw and sports guest appeareances by the grand old man of Danish Blues Troels Jensen, bass player extraordinaire Søren Bøjgaard and the multi talented Jarno Varsted (who also mixed and co. produced the album).
